When selecting lamps for outdoor stadium lighting, high-brightness, wide-beam-angle LED lamps should be given priority to ensure uniform lighting of the venue and reduce shadows; lamps should have good waterproof and dustproof properties as well as sufficient height and stability to withstand adverse weather conditions; neutral white light (5000K to 6500K) is generally selected for color temperature, which helps to improve visual clarity and vitality while meeting the lighting standards for sports competitions and daily activities.
High mast lights are used in open-air stadiums, with a height usually designed to be more than 30 meters to ensure a large irradiation area while avoiding direct light from the source to the athletes’ eyes. Floodlights provide uniform lighting coverage and are suitable for football fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, etc. They have the characteristics of strong directionality and concentrated beams, making them suitable for places that require key lighting in specific areas. Landscape lamps and street lamps are used for lighting in the surrounding areas of the stadium, providing auxiliary lighting and beautifying the environment. However, it’s the solar street lamps that stand out with their advantages in energy saving and environmental protection. They are suitable for peripheral lighting of the stadium or as auxiliary lighting. Intelligent lighting control systems can be combined with LORA wireless control systems to achieve automatic adjustment and remote management of lighting, improving lighting efficiency and reliability.
Key Considerations for Stadium Lighting
High-Brightness and Wide-Beam-Angle
Use high-brightness LED lamps with a wide beam angle to ensure uniform lighting across the venue and minimize shadows.
Weather Resistance
Select lamps with excellent waterproof and dustproof properties to withstand adverse weather conditions. Ensure lamps are installed at sufficient height and with stability.
Color Temperature
Neutral white light (5000K to 6500K) is preferred to enhance visual clarity and vitality, meeting both sports competition and daily activity lighting standards.
High Mast Lights
Use high mast lights, typically over 30 meters in height, for large area coverage while avoiding direct light in athletes' eyes.
Floodlights
Employ floodlights for uniform coverage in specific areas such as football fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts, due to their strong directionality and concentrated beams.
Auxiliary Lighting
Use landscape lamps and street lamps around the stadium for auxiliary lighting and environmental beautification.
Solar Street Lamps
Consider solar street lamps for their energy-saving and environmentally friendly benefits, suitable for peripheral or auxiliary lighting around the stadium.
Intelligent Control Systems
Integrate intelligent lighting control systems with LORA wireless control technology for automatic adjustments and remote management to improve efficiency and reliability.
