The conflict in Syria has deepened humanitarian needs, triggered one of the worst displacement crises and led to the widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure. It has severely affected all productive, economic and livelihood sectors. As an important part of Syria’s infrastructure reconstruction, it is also the biggest ever solar street light project from the United Nations in Middle East Region.
In 2021, INLUX SOLAR successfully produced and supplied a total of 10,735 sets of solar street lights to Syria. This feat was achieved as part of a United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) project and has undoubtedly brought significant improvements to Syria’s national lighting system.
Syria, a war-torn country, has suffered severe damage to its infrastructure and energy supply systems. Therefore, it is particularly important to provide sustainable and reliable lighting solutions for Syria. As an environmentally friendly and energy-saving lighting method, solar street lights can not only meet the basic lighting needs of the Syrian people, but also reduce their dependence on traditional energy to a certain extent and promote the optimization of the energy structure.
To ensure the stable operation of street lamps under the complex and changeable climate conditions in Syria, INLUX SOLAR uses glue filling technology to waterproof the junction box of the solar panel. This technology can effectively prevent moisture from entering the junction box, thereby avoiding circuit short circuits and damage caused by moisture, and improving the service life and reliability of street lamps. The street lamp design of this project fully considers the convenience of installation. Through standardized components and simple installation steps, Syrian workers can quickly master installation skills, improve construction efficiency, and reduce installation costs.
Syria has many shipping requirements, and due to the complex domestic situation, large-scale transportation at one time may face many uncertainties. Therefore, INLUX SOLAR adopted a batch transportation method based on customer needs, which not only ensured the safe arrival of the goods, but also met the use needs of customers at different stages. Affected by the global epidemic, container resources are tight and booking has become more difficult. Faced with this challenge, INLUX SOLAR actively communicated with customers and provided free stacking services for up to half a year, which effectively alleviated customers’ warehousing pressure and reflected INLUX SOLAR’s sense of responsibility and customer service spirit.
The 10,735 solar street light projects provided by INLUX SOLAR to Syria are not only a successful business cooperation, but also a positive contribution to the lives of the Syrian people. By adopting advanced technology and caring services, INLUX SOLAR has demonstrated its strength and responsibility as an industry leader. The project was a great success. INLUX’s high-brightness, high-reliability, and high-durability solar street lights won praise from UNHCR and the Syrian government. At the same time, many international media reported in detail on the project.
INLUX has supplied a total of 10,735 solar street lights, which were installed by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in six cities across Syria: Damascus City (1,200 sets), Aleppo City (2,500 sets), As Suwayda City (3,160 sets), Tartous City (1,975 sets), Homs City (1,200 sets), and Qamishly City (700 sets).
In the future, as the situation in Syria gradually stabilizes, INLUX SOLAR is expected to carry out more similar cooperation projects in the country and contribute more to Syria’s reconstruction and development. At the same time, this project has also injected new vitality into INLUX SOLAR’s brand image and competitiveness in the international market.
