One morning in 2022, the sun shines through the factory windows onto the busy production line. INLUX SOLAR is a manufacturer specializing in green energy products. At this moment, they are working on a significant task – producing 4,200 sets of solar street lights for Iran. This is a project initiated by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to improve lighting conditions in remote areas of Iran.

Iran, a country in the Middle East, enjoys abundant sunshine resources due to its high latitude, but it also faces the challenge of large sunshine disparity. Especially in some remote and poor areas, the darkness at night often limits people’s range of activities and quality of life. Therefore, when UNHCR proposed this project, our company took on this task without hesitation, determined to bring light to Iran with the power of science and technology.

The street lights of this project not only use the latest generation of solar panels, which can effectively capture and convert weak sunlight to ensure maximum absorption of sunlight energy. More importantly, we have also developed a set of efficient energy storage and discharge management systems, which can ensure the lighting needs of street lights for many consecutive nights even in the case of continuous cloudy days.

However, technological breakthroughs are only the first step, and production challenges should not be underestimated. In order to ensure that each set of street lights can meet high standards, the workers on the factory production line work overtime and strive for perfection in every detail. From the cutting and welding of solar panels to the assembly and debugging of lamps, each process is strictly quality controlled. In order to cope with Iran’s complex and changeable climatic conditions, workers also gave the street lights special waterproof and dust-proof treatments to ensure that they can still operate stably in harsh environments.

These Solar Street Light had been installed in 10 refugee settlements in Iran. The solar lights illuminate the streets at night, improving security and building community life after sunset. Refugees can confidently walk around, and children enjoy playing in the evenings.

This collaboration not only strengthens the partnership between INLUX SOLAR and UNHCR, but also demonstrates our support for global sustainable development goals. We look forward to more opportunities in the future to bring light and hope to communities around the world through INLUX SOLAR’s solar street light products.
